March started off appropriately for DEB U
with a post from Stripe letting us know that Kevin would be receiving
the Humanitarian Award of Inspiration for his work with "A World Fit for
Kids". It is the first such award given to anyone by the Hollywood NOTE
Foundation Board of Advisors, and they will have a banquet in his honor.
As one of the debs so aptly stated, Still a Hero!
Chat reminder by Nosey and an update on his recovery from carpel tunnel,
he is doing great and we are all happy to see him well. Ax's Beer
Question: 20/20 or Xray vision? Antares put out a call for council
members to report, hmmmmmm.
Stripe will be attending the New Zealand convention and offered to
arrange personalized autographed pictures of Kevin and/or Michael for
anyone wanting to purchase them. Thanks Stripey!
Khanman OT's this post letting us know he's
back, welcome back Khannie! And Shou Lao too, we saw you sneak in there!
Calee is getting ready to clean up some of the older posts and said to
let her know if there was something any of us wanted to keep. She also
might have to move again after having just now gotten settled in
Oklahoma, hopefully it won't be for awhile yet.
BT gave us a link to her St. Patty's Day doll maker for us to play with.
Thanks BT, we still love to play with dolls!
Cyranose posted his chat reminder and gave us an update on his recovery,
he is still continuing to improve! Mania reminded us to move our clocks
forward and Ax's Beer Question: Sports Announcer or Swimsuit
Photographer? Always fun reading the answers to these (images of BST's
and YST's dance in our heads).
Stripe's first birthday post this month was to Shana, Happy Birthday
Boomer!!
Flipper shared a Maxine cartoon, and that apparently prompted people to
comment on the new banner. Who knew?!
Shana posted the February stats. Great job Team Hawkeye, and thanks
Shana for getting it all arranged and up on the page.
Channdrah showed us that even though a paragraph has words in it that
are terribly misspelled, as long as the first and last letter are
correct and it's used in a sentence you can still read it. An
interesting tidbit that's been floating around for years. Shan asked if
anyone had pie for PI day.....huh?
Another chat reminder, OT'd by Calee letting us know the board is
cleaned up, also OT'd by Flipper with St.Patrick Day greetings and also
Axman with his beer question of the week: Would you rather live forever
or be able to time travel?
Antares gave us a link to a quiz that would show you which Battlestar
Galactica Cylon you might be.
E let us know that her grand kids brought her joy and beauty, and added
some pictures for proof of that last part.
Stripe wished Khanman a happy birthday and of course we all joined in,
Happy Birthday Khannie!
Cyranose posted his weekly chat reminder and caught us up on his health
status.
Aphrael let us know that oral surgery hurts, seems a lot of us already
knew it from experience. Hope it gets better soon Aph!
Cyranose let us know where to download some free e-books, looked like
some interesting reading available there. Axman OT'd with his beer
question of the week - Would you rather speak every language or play
every musical instrument? I found it interesting that almost everyone
chose language.
Eeyorus was 17 again for the two hours she spent watching the movie
Twilight, sounds like fun and a definite "gotta watch it"!
Mania delivered the happy birthday post to Amyrlin, Happy Birthday
Amyrlin.
Mania again delivering birthday wishes for Eeyoraus and SheElf, Happy
Birthday E! and SheElf.
Calico posted happy birthday to CJ. Lots of birthdays this month and we
partied for this one too, Happy Birthday CJ!
Sairah returned with a short story, leaving us wanting more for some
reason <EG>.
Cyranose let us know another week has passed with his chat reminder! He
also let us know all the ebooks are indexed, thanks Nosey. Axman OT'd
with a double whammy beer question - Rather be from a nation that is
known for being rude, or apologetic? Rather live to be 100, or only live
to be 50 as a millionaire?
Shoshana delivered the last birthday greeting of the month to Heraclid,
Happy Birthday Heraclid!
Mania finished off the month quite perfectly by providing a link to
pictures of the Widow Twankey, still alive and kicking in 2009!
